Campus Climate Action Ambassador

This program equips members of the MIT community to champion climate action and sustainable practices within their department, lab, center, or institute (DLCI), increasing visibility and fostering a culture of sustainability across campus.

Program requirements:

  1. Participate in an MIT Climate Action Workshop
  2. Complete the Responsible Waste Training in Atlas
  3. Sign up and start using MIT’s Rheaply marketplace for reuse
  4. Integrate climate action goal(s) in Goal Setting and Performance Review Process

Lead climate action initiative(s) in your DLCI, such as coordinating centralized waste stations [link to Centralized Waste Hubs section on 1.3.2 Waste reduction and recycling], digitizing processes in your office to reduce printing, and programming shut-off timers on office devices to save energy.
